Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Modern Blogging (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Modern Blogging is a hosted blogging platform that lets you create and manage a blog at a subdomain of modernblogging.net or on your own custom domain (Pro plan). The Service includes a web dashboard, API access, and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint for programmatic content management.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to sign up. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity through API keys you generate. One person or legal entity may create up to 5 blogs.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Publish illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content
  • Distribute malware or phishing pages
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
  • Use the API or MCP endpoint to generate spam or bulk low-quality content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any blog that violates these terms, with or without notice.

5. Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to content you create. By publishing content through the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and deliver your content to visitors. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

6. Plans, Billing & Cancellation

The Service may offer free and paid plans. Plan features, limits, pricing, and billing cadence are published in the product interface (for example, the pricing page and billing settings) and may change over time.

By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges as shown at checkout until cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and your current paid period remains active through its end date.

After cancellation or downgrade, account access, content visibility, and feature availability follow the current downgrade and grace-period policy shown in the product and support documentation.

7. Data Export & Portability

You can export all your content (posts, pages, categories, authors, settings, and images) from your dashboard at any time in a portable format. We believe your content belongs to you and you should always be able to take it elsewhere.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

We process your personal data (email address, sign-in records) to provide the Service. We do not sell your data. Blog content is stored in your dedicated project and is not shared with other users. Images are stored in a content delivery network for fast loading. For questions about your data or to request deletion, email hello@modernblogging.net.

9. API & MCP Access

API keys grant full read/write access to your blog content. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Revoke compromised keys immediately from your dashboard. We may rate-limit or suspend API access that degrades the Service for others.

10. WordPress Import

The Service can import content from public WordPress sites. Imported content is subject to the same plan limits as content you create directly. We are not responsible for content accuracy during import — review imported posts before publishing.

11. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modern Blogging and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, including plan, pricing, and billing provisions. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide notice for material changes through email, in-product messaging, or both. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
