Configuring Header Navigation, Footer Links, and Brand Colors
Set up SEO-friendly header menus, footer links, highlighted CTA buttons, and custom brand color palettes in Site Settings.
Clear navigation helps both readers and search engine crawlers discover your most important topic categories and pages.
Header and Footer Navigation
In Site Settings under Navigation, you can manage three menu areas:
- Header Navigation: Primary links displayed in your top navigation bar. Link directly to your core Categories, static Pages, Author profiles, or custom URLs.
- Highlighted CTA Button: An optional accented button on the right side of the navigation bar (ideal for a Subscribe, Contact, or Start Trial link).
- Footer Navigation: Secondary links displayed in the site footer, such as About, Contact, Privacy Policy, or Terms.
Linking to Categories, Pages, and Custom URLs
Each navigation item supports either an internal Reference (which automatically resolves the correct URL for a Category, Page, or Author) or a direct URL path such as /category/ai or https://example.com.
Customizing Brand Colors and Compact Header Mode
Under Colors & Theme in Site Settings, you can customize your Header background, Header title, Subtitle, Navigation text, Accent color, and Footer colors. If you leave the Subtitle and Cover Image blank, your header automatically uses a streamlined compact bar layout.
